This Privacy Policy explains what data the Discord bot VerifyGate ("the Bot") collects and how it is used.

1. Data We Collect

When you use the Bot, the following data may be collected:

• Discord identifiers — user ID, guild (server) ID, channel ID, role ID.
• Survey data — answers you submit to surveys created with the Bot, and your survey progress.
• Server configuration — channels, roles, welcome messages and other settings configured by server administrators.
• Language preference — your selected interface language.
• Premium/subscription status — whether a server has an active Premium plan.
• Message content — the Bot reads message content only when required for its commands or survey features (e.g. processing a survey answer). It does not store or analyze conversations unrelated to its functionality.

We do not collect passwords, payment card details, or other sensitive personal information.

2. How We Use Data

• To operate the Bot's commands and survey features.
• To persist server settings and configuration between sessions.
• To manage access to Premium features.
• To diagnose and fix issues with the Bot.

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage

Data is stored in our server's database. We take reasonable technical measures to protect data from unauthorized access. Data is retained for as long as the Bot remains in your server, or until you request deletion. Administrators of servers with a Premium plan can download their server's survey responses as a CSV file (commands /vg_export and !vg_export); Discord user IDs are not included in this file. The administrator who downloads such a file is responsible for its security and further use.

4. Your Rights

• You may request deletion of data associated with you by contacting us via the support channel below.
• Server administrators may remove the Bot from their server at any time; settings associated with that server may then be deleted.

5. Privileged Intents

The Bot uses Discord's "Message Content" and "Server Members" privileged intents, which are required to process survey answers and manage member/role features. This data is not collected beyond what is necessary for those features.
